Known for his lightheartedness, quirky sense of humor, exceptional rock-skipping abilities, passion for Chicago’s restaurants, attention to detail, and dreadful singing, Dr. Krochmal prides himself on providing personalized, compassionate, concierge-level service to all of his patients.

A Michigan native, Dr. Krochmal  graduated from the University of Michigan Medical School, and did his General Surgery Residency at Mayo Clinic Arizona.  He then completed his Plastic Surgery Residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  He then trained at the world-renowned Hunstad Kortesis Center in Charlotte where he learned advanced body contouring, breast, and facial aesthetic procedures.

Dr. Krochmal is Board Certified in both Plastic Surgery and General Surgery.  He is a member of prestigious organizations such as the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.  He is dedicated to his patients, and sits on the Patient Safety Committees for ASPS.  He is also passionate about issues such as healthcare access, and sits on the Legislative Advocacy Committee for ASPS.

He continues to be an active researcher to further the field of plastic surgery, and is engaged in projects involving DVT (blood clot) reduction following abdominoplasty, safety in buttocks fat grafting procedures, and outcomes for large volume liposuction for lipedema.

In addition to exploring restaurants, Dr. Krochmal enjoys painting, building smartphone applications, golfing, spoiling his nephews, and explaining how to pronounce his last name (it’s like a “CROCodile” and a “shopping MALL”).

Meet Stephanie Bryan, APN, FNP-C (Practice Manager)

Stephanie Practice Manager at The Krochmal Center for Plastic Surgery

With decades of experience as a hospital patient care technician, then floor nurse, then OR nurse with the Central DuPage Hospital’s open heart team (ultimately becoming their team lead!), and then transitioning to be the Program Manager for the Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute’s West Region, Stephanie has the clinical and administrative background that our patients love as she guides them through the surgical process.  After your visit, if you’re wondering why our office functions as well as it does, just thank Stephanie.  Even Dr. Krochmal admits freely that she’s really his boss.

A native of the Western Chicago suburbs, she graduated from Elmhurst College (now Elmhurst University) with her nursing degree.  She furthered her education at the University of St. Francis to obtain her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and ultimately becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C).  As a child, she always knew she wanted to be a nurse because she was passionate about caring for others.  As her nursing career progressed and she took on more administrative rolls, she began to miss the day-to-day patient interactions.  She now has that fulfillment as our Practice Manager at The Krochmal Center for Plastic Surgery.

When she’s not keeping Dr. Krochmal in line (no easy task, by the way), she’s watching movies with her daughter Phoebe (named for the “Gremlins” movie actress, not the “Friends” TV sitcom), playing with her dogs, and boating.

Meet Barb LoGalbo, LE (Aesthetician)

Barb Krochmal Center Aesthetician in Hinsdale

Barb has always had a passion for the medical field, and that eventually led her to the fabulous field of aesthetics.  She has been in the operating room dealing with moody surgeons (“not Dr. Krochmal, though”, she emphasizes) for over 18 years as a “scrub tech”.  As a surgical assistant, she began working with plastic surgeons and became fascinated with the patients’ transformations.  “The plastic surgeons did incredible work and I wanted to be a part of that.”  She went back to school to get her Esthetician License at Tricocci University.

If you’re looking for Emsculpt Neo muscle building, Ultimate Contour noninvasive fat reduction, HydraFacial, VI Peels, SkinPen Microneedling with PRP, dermaplane, advanced medical grade skin care regimens, brow shaping or eyelash enhancement, or laser hair removal, we think you’ve found your gal (and maybe new best friend!).

She prides herself on delivering exceptional service and results, and genuinely connecting with her patients. She is a mom of 3 (12, 11, and 10 years old) and enjoys spending time at soccer games and vacationing with her family.

Meet Rachelle Rodriguez (Hospitality Coordinator)

Our best and favorite plastic surgery receptionist Rachelle

Rachelle is likely the first person you will encounter at our practice, being both the friendly voice on the telephone or the friendly face who greets you at the entrance (with a warm towel and a beverage, of course).  She joined us with over 15 years of experience in the medical field (mostly in Ophthalmology and Cosmetic Dermatology).  She has a passion for aesthetics.  “I have always had keen interest in Plastic Surgery.  Seeing the amazing transformations that come from plastic surgery — I wanted to be a part of something beautiful.”  She thrives on building patient relationships an seeing confidence that comes after surgical and nonsurgical treatments.  “I’m thrilled to be a part of this incredible team.  It’s extremely rewarding!”

Rachelle is a mother of 4 and “Glam-Ma” of 1.  She enjoys biking, nature walks, cooking (including hosting dinner parties), and kicking butt at dominos.
